Remembering 9/11: A Silent Vigil

The First Church sanctuary will be open on September 11th for silent prayer and contemplation as we mark the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The sanctuary will be open from the time the first plane struck the World Trade Center’s North Tower to the time the last plane (Flight 93) crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. There will be candles on the altar for anyone to light as part of this prayer time. The church bell will also be rung for 2 minutes when each plane crashed (8:46am, 9:03am, 9:37am, and 10:02am).
