Spiritual Growth & Education

No matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here. Come and find a place for your spirit.

For Youth – Sunday School occurs during Worship Services. Many lessons cover sustainability and how we can care for our world responsibly. Youth are engaged in the Worship Service as candle-bearers, choir members, readers, Youth Message participants, and Fellowship Hour support team. Youth Choir meets on Sunday after the Worship Service. Youth (and families!) are also engaged in many Church activities throughout the year – see our Serve page for more information.  We follow Safe Church practices.

For Adults – Sunday Worship happens every Sunday. Bible study groups meet several times throughout the year.  The Circle of Presence group meets regularly to reflect on God’s presence in our lives.  Support for adult spiritual growth is also provided by programs at the BTS Center, the Maine Conference UCC and Pilgrim Lodge retreats for adults and families. Bringing your skills into service can also be a source of spiritual growth. See our Serve page for more information.

For Families – Most of our offerings and events are family-friendly. Youth programs are built into our larger Worship and Community times to make joining us as a family fun and convenient. Childcare is available for families with babies to toddlers.  Fidget toys, books and coloring pages are available to use during Worship Service. Spaces for diapering and bottle or breastfeeding are available.  See our Serve page for Church activities your family may be interested to try.

Music – Music can be a powerful vehicle for spiritual growth. Making a joyful sound or the music of our sorrow are both ways to be in relationship with God and each other. Consider how your musical talents might be shared with God and others, and contact our Music Director, Amy Kercsmar, to explore the opportunities.
