Gun Safety Work Group

This group meets to discuss the impacts of gun violence in Maine and also to support members in their efforts for gun safety advocacy.

The advice from the Maine Gun Safety Coalition for these hearings is as follows: We encourage everyone to arrive as early as possible on Thursday – preferably by 8:30 am – and be ready for a long day of testimony and support. Upcoming Community Conversation related to this topic: Community Conversation with Senator Chip Curry.  There will be a Conversation About Gun Violence Legislation With Chip Curry at the UU Church in Belfast on Sunday, March 10 at 3:00 PM. This is your opportunity to show Senator Curry that his positive vote on the gun bills pending this legislative session is essential. Last session, he voted against all gun bills when they came up. We hope to see you there!
