Building Welcoming and Inclusive Community Services – Free Training

This free training is designed for all community programs that interact with youth and are committed to becoming more affirming and inclusive of LGBTQIA2S+ youth. This training provides an overview of LGBTQIA2S+ terminology, risk and protective factors, pronoun usage, inclusive forms, and building welcoming and inclusive environments for LGBTQIA2S+ youth. This training is offered by OUT Maine, a Rockland-based organization that provides Safe Spaces in Communities, trains personnel to help build Safe Schools, trains rural providers to support youth with a Rural Safety Net, and providing information and support to families to Reduce LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness.

Presented in partnership with Belfast Flying Shoes, Belfast Community Co-op, Belfast Dance Studio & Center for Embodiment, Restorative Justice Project Maine, First Church in Belfast UCC, Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast, and Waterfall Arts.
